Creating a Florist the Old Fashioned Way

Our shop is based on the Old Fashioned Flower Shop. It's a place to get ideas and to explore the inside of what a flower is. There was a day when I first started working in the floral industry that you went to the local flower shop for all your floral needs. Today you can stop by your local grocer, pharmacy, and even convenience store for a rose or pre-made bouquet. As a florist I enjoy educating my customer about flowers and how to take care of them rather than a customer picking up a rose wrapped in cellophane that is 3 weeks old and has more mold than most homes in my area. I take great pride in providing the highest quality flowers to each and every customer that crosses my path. Why don't we just let the florist provide the flowers.

A Day at the Zoo

No I don't mean a day at work. I spent a day at the Lowery Park Zoo with my Mom, Dad, and Partner Rahn about a week ago. What a wonderful place. I was a bit optimistic about going in the back of my mind, but was more than pleasantly surprised. I found the Lowery Park Zoo to be not only full of some of the most unique creatures I have ever seen, but some of the most well behaved children I have seen in a long time. We ended up spending over four hours viewing magnificent creatures who in my opinion seem to be observing us as much as we did them. I not only enjoyed the Zoo, but more importantly enjoyed a day with the family. That doesn't happen too often these days, and when I do get a chance I cherish every moment. If you are ever visiting the Tampa Bay area take a day to enjoy the Lowery Park Zoo. I highly recomend it.

Bridal Bouquets

Each Bouquet brings out the personality and style of each bride. Connecting with the bride to create just the perfect bouquet can be as easy as 1-2-3. I always take it just one step beyond their expectations. On occasion I have had brides tear up when they first see what I have created for them. I must say Bridal Bouquets are one of the things I enjoy making.
